A ribbon cutting was held for Palm Tree Psychological Services, LLC on Thursday, May 23,2013. Palm Tree Psychological Services, LLC is an exciting company whose focus is to provide outpatient mental health and other psychological services to children, adolescents and adults of all ages who are interested in gaining/regaining their sense of personhood, a renewed zest for life and a positive mental attitude.

The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Fitzgerald Police Department worked together to bring the community a class on basic safety measures on Tuesday, May 14. The class, taught by certified instructor Captain Todd McCard, focused on home, automobile, internet, travel, and business security tips. The police department also offers classes on basic physical self-defense, pepper spray training, firearm training and certification as well as the “Refuse to Be a Victim” course that we attended. If you are interested in taking any of these courses, let the Chamber or the Fitzgerald Police Department know, and we will see what we can do about presenting these courses.
